Why should you get your vehicle paint corrected?

Features of Paint Correction

  • Restores Shine & Gloss: Over time, your car’s paint can look dull due to oxidation, swirl marks, and other imperfections. Paint correction helps restore a deep, glossy finish, making your car look like it just rolled off the showroom floor.

  • Removes Imperfections: Professional paint correction removes scratches, swirl marks, water spots, and other imperfections in the clear coat. This process helps to smooth out the paint surface, improving its overall appearance.

  • Enhanced Paint Protection: By removing contaminants and imperfections, paint correction creates a smoother surface. This can help to improve the effectiveness of waxes, sealants, and coatings applied afterward, allowing them to bond better and protect the paint longer.

  • Improved Resale Value: A vehicle with a well-maintained and corrected paint job is likely to fetch a higher resale price. Paint correction can significantly boost the car’s appearance, making it more attractive to potential buyers.

  • Long-Term Maintenance: Professional paint correction can save you from future maintenance. With the right protection added after the correction (like a ceramic coating), your car's paint will be easier to maintain, helping it stay in top shape for a longer time.

  • Personal Satisfaction: Seeing your car’s paint restored can be incredibly satisfying. The time, effort, and attention to detail can give your vehicle a completely refreshed look, which is great for anyone who takes pride in their ride.

  • Better Protection Against the Elements: Once the paint is corrected, adding protective layers like ceramic coatings or wax helps shield the surface from UV rays, road salts, bird droppings, and other environmental contaminants that can cause long-term damage.

Our Paint Correction process

A general break down of what we do:

  1. Wheel, Tires and Wheel Wells

Starting with the dirtiest part of the vehicle, we detail the wheels, tires and wheel wells.

  2. Wash the Vehicle
A thorough but gentle hand wash, ensuring all dirt, grime and bug guts are safely removed.

  3. Iron Deposit Removal

Using a chemical specifically made for it, we’ll remove all iron deposits from the paint.

  4. Decontaminate the Paint
A clay bar is used to remove bonded contaminants like stubborn debris, tar and sap, leaving the surface smooth.

  5. Inspect the Paint
We check for imperfections such as swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation under bright lighting.

  6. Tape Off Sensitive Areas
Sensitive areas like trim and seals are masked off to protect them from staining and discoloration.

  7. Cutting/Compounding (Heavy Correction) — If applicable for your service
We use a buffing set up with a heavy-cut compound to remove deep imperfections and oxidation.

  8. Polishing (Fine Correction)
A finer polish and polishing set up is used to smooth the surface and enhance the paint’s gloss and clarity.

  9. Final Inspection & Correction
We perform a final check to ensure all imperfections are corrected and the paint is in the condition we agreed upon.

  10. Clean the Surface
The paint is wiped down with an IPA solution to remove any residue, leaving it clean and ready for protection.

  11. Apply Paint Protection (Optional but Highly Recommended)
A ceramic coating, sealant, or wax is applied to protect the paint and enhance it’s finish.

  12. Clean Glass and Dress Trim & Tires

For the cherry on top, we clean all of the outside glass and ensure all plastic trim is dressed and tires are shining.

  13. Final Inspection and Quality Control
A final check ensures everything is as promised before returning the vehicle.
